Christmas Cupcake Class

It was great to be baking yestedray, tucked away from the foul weather.

I had a Thorngrove School group of Mums in for a Christmas Cupcake Class.

They were very creative!

 

 I'm very glad that my delivery of new glitters arrived yesterday, as there has been a huge amount of glitter sprinkling this week!

The price is £50; this includes all your ingredients, materials, a recipe and tips booklet to take home along with your 6 beautifully decorated cupcakes!

First Festive Cupcake Class - Monday 8 November

Today was our first Festive Cupcakes Class.

I feel that the Christmas Season has now begun, with the mixed spice and orange smells coming from the Aga and with my favourite Crabtree & Evelyn NOEL candle lit.

The kitchen was covered in glitter this morning as well as the usual icing sugar blizzard!

The Cupcakes looked fantastic in their posh new little boxes, covered in their festive shapes; trees, baubles, stars, snowflakes, wreaths etc

It was a busy week of birthdays!

Birthday Cupcakes

I made 17 Cupcakes this morning for a 17 year old birthday girl.

The drive over to Downe House, the school where I delivered them to, was so golden and autumny, everywhere is looking so pretty, although the wind does seem to want to rid the trees of all their leaves!

Festive Cupcakes

I've been having a lovely messy play this morning, trying out a variety of Christmas Cupcakes for the forthcoming classes.

The kitchen smells of oranges, rum, mixed spice, cinnamon and almonds .... delicious!

I've been making snowflakes, robins, baubles, holly leaves and finding all my red, silver and gold themed sprinkles and glitters.

There are just a few spaces left on the Christmas Cupcake classes:

1 space left this coming Monday 9th November  (10am - 12 noon)

Birthday Oreo Cake & Mini Cupcakes

Oreos, oreos, everywhere!

It was Helena's 14th Birthday today, so I made a 2-tier Chocolate Cake, filled with Oreo Buttercream, and iced all over with dark chocolate buttercream.

On the top were 9 mini Oreo Cupcakes, in the shape of an "H".  The minis were vanilla sponge baked with half a mini oreo at the bottom of each one,  swirled with Oreo Buttercream and topped with a mini oreo.

To accompany this giant delicious chocolate cake was a box of 25 mini oreo cupcakes.
