Christmas Cupcakes Classes 2012

We had a busy Cupcake Saturday with two Christmas Cupcake classes.

Lots of new cutters and sprinkles to help decorate our cupcakes with.

The cakes were full of orange zest, orange juice, mixed spice, rum .... delicious!

Christmas Cupcake Class - 29 Nov 2011

We had our first Christmas Cupcake Class of the year on Tuesday, the smells of mixed spice, cinnamon, oranges (and the rum!) were fantastic.

We made some delicious orange and spicy cupcakes with mixed fruit finely chopped inside, and then we made various flavours of buttercream icing.

We had a great production line of snowflakes, stars, trees, robins and reindeers to decorate the cupcakes with afterwards!

The final TWO spaces are available on our Christmas Cupcake Class on Tuesday 29 November.

The class runs from 11am - 1pm.

Cost £50 to include all of your ingredients, a recipe and top tips booklet and 6 of your beautifully baked and decorated cupcakes to take home.

Final Cupcake Class of 2010

I'm so pleased that the snow melted and we were able to have today's Christmas Cupcake Class, it was a lovely class, with lots of pretty sparkly designs.

Much better to be mellow and swirling/glittering in the kitchen than battling around the shops!

I'm going to miss my snowflake cutters after Christmas, they are so pretty.

Thorngrove Christmas Fair

It's been an incredibly busy but fun weekend.

I baked and decorated approximately 160 Cupcakes from 8am - 11pm on Saturday (with a break for Strictly!) and I spent today at Thorngrove's Christmas Fair (with great help and assistance from my sister Katy!)

Thank you to everyone who visited the stall to say hello and buy Cupcakes.

First Festive Cupcake Class - Monday 8 November

Today was our first Festive Cupcakes Class.

I feel that the Christmas Season has now begun, with the mixed spice and orange smells coming from the Aga and with my favourite Crabtree & Evelyn NOEL candle lit.

The kitchen was covered in glitter this morning as well as the usual icing sugar blizzard!

The Cupcakes looked fantastic in their posh new little boxes, covered in their festive shapes; trees, baubles, stars, snowflakes, wreaths etc

Festive Cupcakes

I've been having a lovely messy play this morning, trying out a variety of Christmas Cupcakes for the forthcoming classes.

The kitchen smells of oranges, rum, mixed spice, cinnamon and almonds .... delicious!

I've been making snowflakes, robins, baubles, holly leaves and finding all my red, silver and gold themed sprinkles and glitters.

There are just a few spaces left on the Christmas Cupcake classes:

The Treetops kitchen was the best place to be yesterday during the foul weather, you can't beat a bit of baking when the wind and rain are lashing against the windows!
