Here are a few of the pretty 50th Birthday Cupcakes I made this morning

I'm now preparing for tomorrow's Cupcake Class.

Scary Cupcakes!

Eleven year old Holly didn't want pretty pink cupcakes for her birthday, oh no, she wanted scary, gory ones, to match her birthday outing, which is a trip to the cinema to see THE HOLE in 3D.

I made a stand from one of the great eco friendly disposable stands, covering it in black paper and images from the movie.

The movie is about some children finding a padlocked trap door, and then discovering the hole below ....
My first cupcakes therefore had a hole taken out of the centre, which were filled with jelly worms (yuk) and covered in a fondant trap door.

The next set were scary looking bulgy eyed skulls, surrounded by black glitter.

These poor jelly skeletons were dead and buried under buttercream (which had space dust stirred in, to give an element of surprise ... just incase they hadn't had enough of those!)

And finally some vibrant fangs with bright red blood icing dripping down the edge of each cupcake

I hope you had a great time Holly, I feel I need to go and see the movie now!

A great class today, with a wide variety of decorations, there were footballers and autumnal colours, and fresh blackberry puree with hedgerow blackberries.

Delicious Hedgerow Blackberries

I went for a quick walk along the hedgerows this morning and collected a bowlful of blackberries, to come home and experiment with.

The Cupcake above is delicious!

It includes some grated apple, a scattering of cinnamon, and the sweetest blackberry puree swirled through the buttercream icing.

I don't think they are going to be around for long!

Boxford Flower Garden Cupcakes

It was a beautifully sunny and warm afternoon on Sunday, perfect for visiting Boxford and their two open gardens.

The ladies from Boxford Church had the most amazing cake stall, giant wedges of coffee & walnut cake, chocolate cake, coffee cake, brownies and some of my Cupcakes.

There were plenty of Dahlias in all different colours, my favourite flower at this time of year, they are so vibrant.

Golden Wedding Anniversary Cupcakes

I really enjoyed making these Golden Wedding Anniversary Cupcakes for a party this evening.

There were 6 special Cupcakes for the top tier in pretty delicate wrappers.

The rest were decorated with golden dragees, gold glitter, gold star sprinkles and home made fondant decorations.

Now back to the kitchen to get "floral" ........

I also make a deliciously light gluten free cupcake.

Cheshire Regiment Cupcakes

I really enjoyed making these Cupcakes this morning, they are for an 80 year old gentleman who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow with a family picnic.

His old regiment are The Cheshire Regiment, who have a lovely acorn and oak badge, and a very lively colour-scheme of cerise and buff!

Have a lovely day!
